One of our favourite commercial building projects to date was the transformation of a late 1800’s store on Karangahape Road into a modern hair salon with a nod to the old. When we started, this store was a closed up sex shop - the evidence of such revealed itself in strange ways over the course of our work. Our clients wanted to keep the original ceiling, walls and kauri floor, so with a steady hand and attention to detail, we brought this beauty back to life with added shop front, entrance way, counter and basin area.
